Digital to Offset Matching
Gans Ink Supply Co. is the first and only company that has created a system to match a digitally printed proof to the final offset run. The digital proof is no longer the target to be achieved, but the standard to which the press will run to. With this unique system, press operators will achieve the correct color on press without the need for additional plates to be made.
Utilizing unique and matched inks, curves, and linearizations, the offset run will achieve a “95% visual match” to the proof when running to density. This system gives the press manager greatly increased efficiency on press, while reducing make ready time, waste paper, and excess ink.
An installation of the Gans system requires 1-2 days, utilizing both the digital printer and the offset press. For details, please contact your sales representative or the digital division.

Founded in 1950, Gans Ink & Supply Company started out with two employees in a small storefront on 3rd street in downtown Los Angeles, California. Gans Ink quickly outgrew this original location, and in 1962, Bob Gans moved the company to our present location. Gans Ink & Supply has since become an international company with 11 locations nationally servicing commercial and digital printers from our corporate headquarters continuously since opening.
